Author: Saroo Brierley with Larry Buttrose
Publisher information: New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons 2014

With the help of Australian ghost writer, Larry Buttrose, this book tells the incredible story of Saroo Brierley’s life from the accidental separation from his family in India to his eventual adoption by an Australian couple who raise him in Tasmania. Saroo’s intense longing and drive to find his birthplace and Indian family pushes the story along and makes for a compelling and very moving read. The fortunate discovery of Google Earth makes this story so uplifting as Saroo’s wild hope of locating the train station where he got lost as a child becomes more realistic.
Co-writer, Larry Buttrose “was told to write in “Saroo’s voice” “ (ABC radio) and helps to frame Saroo’s memories into a compelling read that speaks volumes about the strength of love, belonging and family.

  1. Great blog, very professional-looking and interesting to explore. My only criticism is that on my screen, the 'Home' page image is so big that it isn't immediately obvious that there are blog posts underneath it and I didn't realise I should scroll down to see them, I was looking for a link along the top to find the posts.

    1. Thanks Natalie! You are so right. Seems I fiddled with the theme settings a little too much. The home page image of the books was appearing more as a banner size originally. Will be worth checking the HTML code to fix this up (or modify my design) so that the posts are more obvious.
